Phase 3
OPS was the planning and project controls lead for the contractors E & M scope, on the £1b+ expansion of 4 new lines.
The project increased the tram systems length from 23 to 60 miles with around 105 new stops providing greater Manchester with the largest tram network in the UK.
Transpennine Route Upgrade
The Transpennine Route Upgrade, or TRU, is a transformative, multi-billion pound railway programme that will better connect passengers in the North between Manchester, Huddersfield, Leeds and York.
Northern Programmes
Supporting the signalling contractor across Northern Programmes in delivering major rail signalling schemes including;
The Ordsall Chord.
Electrification of Manchester to Preston.
Electrification of Preston to Blackpool.
Modifications to Manchester Airport station.
West coast Power Supply Upgrade
Supporting the delivery contractor on upgrading the electrification infrastructure to increase available power and permit operation for an enhanced train service.
